In the latest English Heritage podcast, released on 28 May 2025, the comedian and writer Amy Matthews and English Heritage curator Will Wyeth discussed the Peasants' Revolt of 1381. They met Helen Killick and Andrew Prescott of the People of 1381 team and discussed how the People of 1381 database was developed. Helen and Andrew shared snapshots of lives of the People of 1381 and with Amy and Will explored how stories are pieced together from documents and records of this period to add depth to popular chronicles.

The English Heritage object which was a starting point for the discussion was a key from Pevensey Castle. We will shortly have a 'People and Places' section on the revolt at Pevensey available on this website.
