On 22 June 2025, as part of the Estuary 2025 Festival, the People of 1381 project collaborated with local artist Sadie Hennessy to organise a workshop on Gravesend Town Pier called 'Routes to Protest'. The workshop remembered and explored the key role of the Thames Estuary in the Peasants' Revolt of 1381. The river was an important means of communication as the revolt developed. Many of the rebels depended on the river in different ways for their living.

Among the 'Routes to Protest' activities organised by Sadie were a banner making workshop and a sound sculpture in which local people from north Kent read documents of the period, recapturing the voices of 1381.

University of Reading student Ahmad Sidik made two videos recording these events which are now available on the People of 1381 YouTube channel.
